With Penang's strategic location, strong international connectivity, and numerous foreign airlines, Penang continues to attract both domestic and international travelers making it a highlighted destination for both domestic and international travelers, further solidifying the fair’s reputation as a must-attend industry event in Malaysia.

As the second-largest MATTA Fair in Malaysia after the main national event in MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, this year’s edition promises an even grander experience, featuring over 300 booths showcasing the best travel deals from local and international destinations. 

“Penang’s status as a tourism and economic powerhouse makes it the perfect host for the country’s second-largest MATTA Fair,” said Datuk Hamzah, Organising Chairman of MATTA Fair Penang 2025. “This event not only drives regional tourism but also reinforces Malaysia’s position as a top travel destination.” According to the organizing chairman of Matta Fair Penang 2025, Datuk Hamzah, given the overwhelming response, there is the potential to increase booths further to 330, should the demand require it.
